A beading workshop that teaches the technique of attaching a flat-back cabochon to fabric by beading around it with peyote beading. It's helpful to have a little sewing experience, but beginners also welcome. The kit has everything you need: beads, thread, choice of cabochons, needles and fabric.

Working in teams of two, each team will conduct a full synbio experiment using a safe, publicly available lab strain of E. coli, working under the guidance of the scientists in charge of the session, and following a simple protocol. Also, as time permits, a live demo of an open source BioCAD software tool will be given, showing how biological circuit design can be done.
